Children of Horror,

We dedicate tonight’s tale, “The Survivor”, again to super fan Roland Wieffering. Roland this horrific, resurrection tale by H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth should be in the Cthulhu canon.

Cthulhu rises for the apocalypse from the abysmal sea. A mariner becomes a legendary creature of the deep. A doctor uses alchemy and sorcery to reanimate the dead. And a man encounters an ancient, reptilian creature as we bring the gnashing teeth and claws of Howard Phillips Lovecraft and August Derleth.

Tonight, we present their horrific resurrection tale “The Survivor”. This short story was published in the July 1954 issue of Weird Tales. Our tale focuses on Alijah Atwood and his encounter with Charriere House.

Can our narrator—Alijah Atwood, survive this Eldritch horror? Or will he be the next victim in Charriere House to cry… crocodile tears? –JL
