We present his blood-chilling, and haunting poetic horror from the August 1938 issue of Weird Tales ghastly titled, “Lines Written in the Realization That I Must Die”. What soul crushing demons could have plagued Howard’s mind to create such devious verses? Knowing the tragic end of this horror master, one could say this tale was more prophetic than anyone could imagine.
